Hello,

I have already booked my JCAP appointment and i was asked to get the passport application form from the local post office so that it can be completed when I am going for my appointment.

The envelope in which the passport application form is put in, has the address of Her Majesty's Passport office which is in PETERBOROUGH ?!

I am based in London and I wonder why i was not given the envelope with the address of London passport office?

Then I went to another post office, and there I was given the passport application form in envelope addressed to BELFAST office?! I did not take it. I asked for envelope with address of London's office however I was told by the lady in the post office that there is ONLY ONE OFFICE that deals with the passport applications and that is in BELFAST.

I am very confused as I know that there are passport application offices based in many cities in the UK and of course in London where I live.

Could someone clarify this to me.

Or the address on the envelope of the passport application form does not really matter as i will give the form and the envelope to my local council when i go for my JCAP appointment.

Yes, leave it to the JCAP process.
Passport applications are not necessarily dealt with at a local passport office. The processing work is spread around the country. In my case I was requested to send to Newport (online application).
