Dear All

I am applying for the citizenship based on Tier 1 general in March this year. I have completed 5yrs plus 1 yr ILR. Can anyone please advise whether my son who is in the UK for 4 years but has ILR can also apply for citizenship with me?

Please advise.

Many thanks
WB

What is the immigration status of the other parent?

Where was son born, UK or abroad?

Yes, son can apply with you. Form MN1 for him and it is an application under Section 3(1) of the nationality act.

But what about my wife? She joined me as a dependent in July 2012. She got ILR with me in Feb 2016.

Please advise

What about your wife? She needs 5 years residence to qualify or 3 years residence IF you are already a BC.

You asked if your son can apply with you and I answered your question.

She should also be eligible to naturalise if she also satisfies the standard requirements.

Thanks for your valuable reply. Really appreciated.

Could you please advise me on the required documents to be submitted for my self and my son.

I am registered as self-employed (not working as a self-employed for the past one year) but working as an employee. Do I need to send SA302 or tax overview or payslips from the current employer?

Will appreciate your earliest reply.

Many thanks
Wasim
