Hello all, I've just passed the Life in the UK test and have started to put together the list of documents needed for naturalization for myself and registration for my daughter. We can only apply in September but I want to make sure we can hit "send" at the beginning of September.
Both myself and child are EU citizens already holding DCPRs. Child is born outside of the UK but will have lived here 6+ years by September. The father is also an EU citizen holding DCPR, he lives in the UK but we don't live together; we were never married and he will not apply for citizenship for himself.
Below is the list of documents... anything I missed? Anything that's not needed? I'm applying via an NCS that accepts both citizenship + passport application.
LIST:
Cover letter - to explain child's situation mostly
payment for citizenship and passports
Mother:
AN form
passport form
passport photos (3)
EU passport
DCPR
life in the UK test certificate
English test exemption proof - passport of English-speaking country (we have dual nationality)
employment letter to cover past 6 years (same employer from Oct 2011 to present)
P60s - - do I need these?
council tax statements - - do I need this?
land registry home ownership proof - - do I need this?
Child:
form MN1 section 3(1) application (including section 7 consent signed by father)
passport forms
photos (3)
child EU passport
child DCPR
child birth certificate
school enrollment letter
father's EU passport
father's DCPR
letter from father - agreeing to living arrangements and supporting citizenship application
And a final question re: employment letter, P60s, council tax statements, and school letter - which period do we have to cover with these proofs? Full 6 years from 2011-2017? Or only 2016-2017 - from the date we got PR status in Sep 2016 onwards.
Thank you!

Employment History:
required for up to 10 years going back from the date of AN application (we are not proving PR again).
P60 - good for proving work/NI history (or employer letter(s))
Council Tax bills - good proof of residence if you haven't worked
Land Registry - don't think that's needed.
Others may provide further comments.

Thanks, we moved to the UK in June 2011 so I can only list the employment history for 6 years.
Regarding proofs, I will have all the P60s for tax years 2011-2017 as I worked continuously. Does that mean I don't need to send an employment letter and council tax statements?
For my child I can send a school letter for all the school years - Sep 2012 to present.

For employment you can send either P60 or company letter - letter would be easier if it covers multiple years, saves NCS doing load of copying. Council Tax not necessary if you have worked all the time.
For MN1 I don't have experience.

Thank you. I think I'll request the employment letter from my employer anyway, since it's only 1 employer for all 6 years, but also take the P60s and council tax statements with me just in case - I'm applying via NCS because I don't want to send 4 original passports to Home Office - two are mine, one for my child, one for the father.
Last related question, does anyone know if can I get away with submitting certified copies of the child father's passport and certified copy of his DCPR document, instead of sending the originals? (NB: the father isn't applying for citizenship at all, I'm only including these docs to support the child's registration application).

NCS will do the copying and certifying for you, all part of the fee.
I only went with the one employer letter covering 10 years, no request for P60.
Hope all goes well.

Good afternoon
I have an appointment with NCS to submit by naturalization application on Thursday, i will need help with the following:
1. I am currently married to an EU citizen, had my PR in 2013, what does the 5 year rule means.
2. Due to marital issues, i am not living with my wife in our family home, do i need to supply her details on the application form and will it affect affect my application since we are not living together?
3. What answer should i give for marital status.
4. Regarding documentation, i am sending my passport, PR issued on a blue booklet, life in the uk test and Masters degree from a UK university, do i need any more documentations?
Your help will be appreciated.

1. I am currently married to an EU citizen, had my PR in 2013, what does the 5 year rule means.Have you been physically present in the UK 5 years ago on the date of your application?
2. Due to marital issues, i am not living with my wife in our family home, do i need to supply her details on the application form and will it affect affect my application since we are not living together? If you are still married tick "married" and give your wife's current details even if not living together. Will not affect application - you are applying for yourself.
3. What answer should i give for marital status.as above
4. Regarding documentation, i am sending my passport, PR issued on a blue booklet, life in the uk test and Masters degree from a UK university, do i need any more documentations?Details of Employment going back up to 10 years, P60 or employer letters. If not working other documents showing residency, official letter from council, HMRC etc.
Your help will be appreciated.
