naturalisation divorce not finalised

Hi,

Need some advice please, I want to apply for my naturalisation in April 2017.

Question is I got ILR in 2011 when I was married but now in the in the final stages of divorce.

Will I need to wait for my divorce to be finalised before I apply or will I be able to apply in April 2017.
I am happy to apply under the 5 year rule as I am sure I qualify for this on my own.
I just don't want to state I am divorced then when they check it still comes up as married and my application is denied due to miss information?

I am in the final stages of divorce and waiting for the decree absolute which will take another 6 weeks.
I really don't want to wait that long as I am not sure if the fees will go up again for this year.

It has taken me a while to get the money together to apply.

Any advice will be most appreciated

Thank you in advance

If you don't want to wait the six weeks then you have to declare "married" which is the current correct status. When the divorce comes through you would then advise UKVI of the fact by letter, with a copy of the relevant court document.
