British Citizenship refused - Good Character

Hi All,
I was recognized as Refugee in 2010 & after completion of 6 full years (5 years on LTR + 1 year on ILR) i applied for Nationality. Home Office has sent a letter today stating that they are refusing my application because i was in the country before 2010 without any leave.
I was an Asylum seeker & had no legal visa between 2006 & 2010 when ultimately i was granted Refugee status. Please advise what should i do? They have sent a questionnaire asking to provide Bank Statements, Utility Bills to prove my legal stay here but i didn't have any bank accounts & lived with friends & family until i was given NASS support in 2009 which lasted till i was granted Refugee status in 2010.
They have given me 10 days to reply on this, please help me.
