Travel during Naturalisation

Hi,

I am planning for a holiday during my naturalisation application. I will need to travel back home for a month and already been outside UK for 2 months 5 days in the same year.
I am planning to apply and travel since naturalisation rules and regulations wont allow more than 90 days outside UK. Can you please suggest any issues in applying and leaving UK
for a month?

My main concerns are
1. During the naturalisation process, do we need to be in UK (for any queries etc)?
2. How long home office generally takes to send the letter requesting biometrics and the validity of the letter?

Thanks

No. The max 90 days absence is up to the date of application. Once submitted, you are free to travel, assuming of course you are applying through NCS and not by post yourself.
2. How long home office generally takes to send the letter requesting biometrics and the validity of the letter?
Anywhere between 2 weeks and 5 weeks. Depends how busy they are and expect a rush due to price increase in April (not yet announced though). You will have 15 days to submit biometrics. If you fail to submit, you will get another letter giving you only 10 days to submit.

Well you've already identified them  You need to be able to enrol biometrics and reply to any queries they have.

Hi,

Does any one know the difference in timelines when we apply just for Naturalisation vs. Joint citizenship and passport application service and what is your preference?

Thanks

Unless you apply through the NCS with the JCAP service you will have to attend an interview before your passport can be issued.

No difference for form AN application. HO will take as long as they need to.

The main difference is passport in that you get it within a couple of weeks once you have attended your ceremony and DO NOT need to attend the passport interview and obviously, you don't have to send your original documents for passport application.

Applying for them separately means you can only apply for passport once you have attended your ceremony and have to send your originals to HMPO etc.

Edit : beaten by Casa

Thanks for the information and prompt replies, much appreciated.

My next question is the documents required for the application as Limited Company Director. I started my limited company 6 months back and taking dividends and not running PAYEE. What documents do i need to provide to JCAP?

Thanks
