Hi Expert ,

I am getting my citizenship this month based tier 1 ( 5 + 1 year rule). My wife joined me in oct 2011. But she went back to India ( eye operation ) in May 2013 at the time of expiry of her dependent visa . After 5 months break she applied again as dependent on Nov 2013 and joined back with me in UK . She has now completed 3.5 years based on second time entry.

Her dependent visa is valid till Jan 2018.


My question is Once I get my BP. can she apply for for British citizenship directly based on 3 years completion of married to a Brit citizen on the date of apply.

or she will need to apply for ILR

Yes.

And she still has 1.5 years to go before she can apply for ILR.
