Proof of ID for naturalisation

Hello
I have a question on the proof of identity for my naturalisation application. The guidance notes say that you should normally supply the same document that you used for the Life in the UK test. Unfortunately I lost that document right after the test. I have since obtained a duplicate from my country’s consulate. However this duplicate has a different number from the original document.
I am unsure whether I can use this new/duplicate document as proof of identity in the naturalisation application. Does anyone know whether it would be ok?
Thank you
