Can ex-Accountant be a Referee?

Hi Forum Members,

I have a question of my accountant from past who was the accountant for my private company can be referee for the citizenship application?

Per AN form, a referee should declare that:
• they are not a relative, solicitor or agent of the applicant

I know Accountants are in the approved professionals list but not sure if that applies to ex-accountant.

Any advice would be really helpful.

Thanks,
Ankit

If retired but still a paying member of the regulatory body for accountants then yes. If not, then no as then they are not practicing accountant.

Yes, as long as they have known you for at least 3 years. It does not have to be someone you work with.
