HI,

I need to apply for my baby's british passport. He was born in UK and we have obtained his Birth certificate. Both me and my wife already had British passport(via naturalisation process) at the time of baby's birth.

My query is regarding parent's supporting documents:

Do we both(wife & myself) need to send our passport, marriage certificate & naturalisation certificate ?

Please could anyone confirm

Thanks

You will need to send proof that either one parent is a British citizen.

If the proof is of the father's , a marriage certificate is advisable. Not required if proof is of the mother's.

No need to send passport if you are sending the naturalisation certificate.

Simplest proof would be mother's naturalisation certificate and baby's birth certificate.
