Hi All,
Any one used non UK resident as professional referee?

I have qualifying person in the listed category, but currently she is residing in India.I thought of using her as professional referee.
But Some old threads in the forum, I am seeing, NCS wont allow that.Is this true?Any one practically used non resident as referee and NCS accepted?
I agree the fact that no where in guidance they mentioned about residential status of referees.

I used a non-British referee not residing in the UK. NCS guy mentioned that it was unusual but not against the rules.

I applied on 17 March so should have an answer soon.

The rules were very particular about the other referee's citizenship and age so if they wanted it to be a requirement to be resident in the UK they should have specified it. How can they deny you for not complying to a rule which doesn't exist?
