Hi, my son came into the country with ILE (indefinite leave to enter) and has been here for the past 5 years. He doesn't know his dad, he's dad is back abroad, I'm solely responsible for my child and I already have my British nationality since 2009, he came in with ILE back in 2011. Do I need to apply for ILR? Or can I register him as a BC? I heard ILE and ILR are the same.
