Hello I got very confused over all this procedure n what documents I actually need.
In uk from 2010 until now but had to leave for 6 months in April 2012 till October (start working again in October 2012) my twins were born 2014 .As much as I've read I understand that I broke 5 years continuously working so does it mean I can't apply for British passport for kids? Or Is there way about it pls

Appreciate the whole system is confusing ...
By the date your twins were born had you completed 5 years of exercising treaty rights, ignoring the six months absence, which is allowed under certain circumstances? If you did then you should be able to apply for your twins' British Passports. Check here for the requirements in terms of paperwork.

In 2012 in April I had to go back home as my mum wasn't well I gave up work but in October 2012 as soon as got back got work so my thought was I broke the 5 years period so do u still recon I shall be able to. In post #1 you say that your twins were born in 2014. In that case- you only came to the U.K. around 4 years before they were born. Unless something has been missed? Also- what is the citizenship/immigration status of the other parent?
