HMPO interview

Dear all,

I would really appreciate some advice on a possible issue during my passport interview tomorrow.

When filling out the passport application form I established that my father's place of birth was different to the one I originally thought it was and had already included in the naturalisation application. I included the correct place of birth on the passport application submitted last week(country and date of birth are all the same it's just the town which is different to what I put on the citizenship application).

I now worry what the interviewer might make of it and how to explain if asked. Is it ok to admit it was an honest error on my naturalisation application since I always genuinely believed that at the time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The first passport interview is to establish your identity - so they will ask all manner of questions, even which bus route you take to work. If it comes to this point then explain sticking to the facts.
