Abroad while Naturalisation Application in process:

Hello All,
Just wanted to check as we have applied for BC in June and our biomatrics also done in July first week do we needs to wait for letter or anything as we need to travel outside UK can we go for 2-3 week as i heard it may take 6 moths for result?
