Hi dear,

My mother in law was a UK citizen. She married a Pakistani man, After 5 years of marriage they separated but not legally, and my father.in.law left the country, since then kids have no contact with him. she raised her son and daughter alone in Pakistan.Meanwhile Kids used to visit their grandparents in UK but on mother,s passport. she died in 2009 in Pakistan,( please note that the father didn't apply for the immigration) Would the children qualify for a UK Ancestry visa after the death of Mother ? If yes then please tell me what is the procedure and requirements.

Regards

My Late Mother was a British Citizen, she married a Pakistani man and settled in Pakistan, after having two kids , they both separated but not legally. My father left the country and since then we don't have any contact with him. My mother raised us on her own, she was a gynecologist. we used to go to UK to meet my grand parents (late) but on my mother's passport. She died in 2009. Now is it possible for her children to apply for immigration? If yes what is the process???

When and how did your mother acquire her British citizenship?

Did she become a British citizen by birth to British parents (if so, where was she born) or did she become a British citizen by birth in the UK before 1983 or did she become a British citizen by registration or naturalisation?

Was she a British citizen at the time of birth of all her children? Which years were they all born?
