Dear members,

I have been on ILR since last October 2016 and I am planning to apply for my BC this October

But the issue is my Indian passport is expiring by mid-November.

should I get renewed my Indian passport and then apply for BC?
Or Is it ok to apply for BC this October?

It should be ok as it will be still valid on the day of your application... and you can apply with your expired passport (if you decide to apply after November). I will recommend you to use the Nationality Checking Service and Joint service

Do you mean I can apply for BC even my current passport has expired? Is that acceptable?

Yes, it is. I applied recently with my expired passport and just submitted letters from GP and payslips on the periods that were not covered by my passport. I am in the process of renewing it but I haven't got the new passport yet so I just contacted the NCS of my area and asked if I could submit the application and they have accepted it.
