Hello Forum - Need some help and guidance regarding my challenge to get First UK Adult Passport.

Naturalisation Certificate:

I got my UK Naturalisation certification and it reflects the following.

Surname: Blank

First Name: ( Based on my Indian Passport Name)

Indian Passport Details:

Surname: Blank

First Name: ( Based on my Indian Passport Name)

British Passport Application Form:

Based on the above details i filled out my UK passport application form, however i have got a letter stating the following from HMPO.

" You cannot be issued with a UK Passport as you have just forename, so please contact Indian Consular for further advice"

It will be greatful if anyone has gone through the similar instance in the past.

I think you will need to either insert a surname in your Indian passport & if that is not possible, you will somehow need to use your forename as a surname. You will only be able to get a British passport once you have done that. I don't know how difficult the process would be at Indian consulate.
