Hi,
I am applying for British Citizenship, and I need one professional standing. Is a manager working for a NHS GP surgery a civil servant and would be accepted as professional reference??
Also I am going to pay my fee with a bankers draft, is that ok?
Thank you.

Should be fine. I did so myself for all my immigration applications.

Almost certainly not. Civil servants work directly for the UK government and are not hired through an intermediate body (such as the NHS). NHS and local government staff are most likely public servants, but not civil servants.

OK thanks for getting back to me. The other referee I have in mind is a retired chartered engineer, is that ok to use a professional reference ?
HMRC Question

Hi,
I am filling in the last bits of my citizen application, and have one question.
I have always been an employee, never without work, nor have I ever been self employed.
3 months ago I changed job.
I got a letter recently from HMRC with next years tax allowance, saying it has been adjusted cause I paid too little in tax, but they'll adjust automatically, no need for me to do anything.
Is that OK when applying for citizenship?
Thank you.

I think so. If in doubt, make sure you include the HMRC letter with the rest of your supporting documents in your application, but as CR001 said, there shouldn't be a problem.
