Hi everyone,
I wonder if tou can help me.
I am polish citizen. My husband spplied for bv in 2001. Me and our son joined in 2002.
In 2005 we were granted PR or ILR I am not sure.!it is a three part folded light blue card dated exp 2010. We have "no time limit" in our old passports.
Now, I would like to apply for naturalisation for me and my son. my daughter born in 2006 has British citizenship.
I thought I need to obtain PR replacement card and filled the form.
Now apparently I didn't have to do it.
I am confused and worried that I have messed up everything.
Please advise what to do.
Thanks
Agata

If you have a PR document/card from 2005, this is sufficient plus the no time limit in your passport.

Thank you,
should I cancel the application I have sent?
Will that have any impact on the citizenship?
Also, should I not worry that the card expired and the stamp is in the old passport?
Thanks

I don't understand what your question is??

What application have you 'sent'?

If you have a blue card or stamp that says you have PR/ILR or No time limit, then that is all you need.

I have sent PR application as I thought I need replace the old one. I was advised that I need biometric one.

No you don't need the biometric one if you already have a document stating you have PR in a card format.

Thank you.
I have one more question regarding my son naturalisation process.
He was born outside UK, has the same status as me and his father.
He just turned 17 years old.
His father won't be applying for naturalisation.
What is the best approach for my son to became British Citizen and which form shoul be use for it?
Thanks

He also needs PR evidence and he can only apply when EITHER parent applies or EITHER parent is already British.

If under 18, he applies on form MN1.

If over 18, it is form AN and he then needs English B1 and Life in the UK test as you do.
