I need some guidance regarding the process for bringing our new-born daughter to UK from India.

I got my British citizenship by naturalisation in March 2017. My wife has ILR and is currently in India. My daughter was born in India in June 2017.

Can someone please answer the below questions:

1. We have applied for our daughter's Indian passport. Then since my daughter is British citizen ‘by descent’, we can apply for 'certificate of entitlement' to right of abode. Is this understanding correct?

2. I have read some posts which mention about the covering letter used to convince UKVI about the eligibilty for 'certificate of entitlement'. Can someone please share the link where this covering letter is accessible?

3. I am currently is UK and my wife is in India. Can my wife apply for our daughter's 'certificate of entitlement' herself without me travelling to India?

4. While filling the online form for 'certificate of entitlement', the account for submitting the form on www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk should be created in my wife's name or daughter's name?

We have started filling the application form. What should we mention for the question - What is your current working status?

The option is either Unemployed or Supported by Spouse/Partner/Other. Since the applicant is infant, what should I select?

Also for 'Income and Expenditure' should we fill father's income and expenditure? In the cover letter, I have mentioned that I will be supporting my daughter financially so should I mention my income and expenditure?

Are you sure you are filling out the right form? Income and expenditure etc. is irrelevant for a Right of Abode application. That said- it's not clear from the Home Office site how to even get to the correct application form for Right of Abode from overseas.

It would also be recommended to get a British consular birth certificate:

I would like to thank everyone who helped me with their suggestions for my baby's ROA application.
My application was successful and got my baby's ROA in less than a week. In 3 working days my baby's application was processed.My daughter was born in India to a Naturalised British Father and Indian Mother.I hope this will help someone who is in a similiar situation.I submitted as many documents as I could, but there are no strict guidlines of what you should and shouldn't submit as supporting evidence.

Timeline for the application was:

Submitted at Chennai VFS: 01/11/2017
Received at Sheffield Processing Centre: 02/11/2017
Application processed and dispatched: 6/11/2017 (received an email)
Received at my place: 7/11/2017

Please take photocopies of all the documents inlcluding the photos.All our documents were scanned at the VFS office and all original documents were returned to us straightaway. They only kept our babies passport.They scan all the documents and send it to the UK.
