Hi all

I'm new to this forum having not used my account for 3 years - just managed to reactivate it. I've recently applied for naturalisation and keen to know more about the potential timelines and also what to expect. My solicitor sent my application on 22/09/2017 and still waiting on a confirmation (I know it's ridiculously early to start panicking). My husband and I plan to travel over the next couple of months so also wondering what sort of impact travel will have - as advised by my solicitor, I have sent a certified copy of my passport and husband's British passport.

It's been a journey for me all these years having been on a number of visas so just hoping for the best really. No driving points so far but wondering if anyone can shed some light on this - what do I do if I get any points whilst my application is under consideration (my solicitor wasn't too helpful on this). I have to drive for work and just on a day to day basis so can't avoid that!!

You could have applied through NCS at the council for less of a fee and they offer the joint citizenship and passport application scheme.

Acknowledgment letters and biometric enrollment letters are sent out in a couple of weeks. Not sure if these will go to your solicitor, which is likely, as he is representing you.

You will have 15 days to enroll your biometric information at the Post Office (£19.20 fee). If you fail to attend, you will be sent a second letter giving you only 10 days. If you don't do then, your application will be rejected.

Did you send your BRP card with the application??

HO can and often do ask for your original documents (passport).

Also, kindly only post timelines in the timeline topics as below.
