Biometrics asked for Citizenship when provided as part of Permanent Residence application

Hi
I have a permanent residence card as the spouse of a EEA citizen. As part of that process I went to the Post Office and did my biometric enrolment.
Now that I have lodged my Citizenship application, I received a letter asking me to do biometric enrolment again.
Is this an error on the part of the Home Office? And how do I contact them to let them know? (my application was done through NCS)
Thanks in advance for your guidance on this.

No it is not an error. You are required to provide biometrics for every application made to HO. You will need to submit your biometrics again.

Regardless of applying through NCS or by post, everyone has to do biometrics for their citizenship application, children included.

Hi CR001
Thanks for the quick reply.
Just wanted to double-check that the biometric process really has to be duplicated?
Especially as was done just over a year ago?
Much obliged sir!

Yes it does. Your application will be refused or returned as invalid if you do not submit your biometrics.
The biometrics are so that HO can confirm that the person who submitted the application is the same person who submitted biometrics. I am sure you would not be pleased if someone got had BC fraudulently with your identity.
p.s. I am a 'miss' not a 'sir'
