I applied 19.05.17 and after long wait finally Got decided on 06.11.2017 Appeared online 07.11.17. I waited 10 days for the HO Approval letter but nothing came. I emailed My local council with all my details and they replied same day that they have received my certificate and requested me to book a ceremony using reference number from my HO initiation letter. I replied back and told them that I have not received any letter yet. The registrar replied as follow
''Email back with a telephone number where can contact you today and we will ring you back to book you on to a ceremony. I would also in the meantime contact the Home Office advise you have not received their letter. You can attend a ceremony without it, but we would need to you to definitely bring your Photo I.D. ( passport/D/licence etc and may be a bill/bank statement to confirm your address''

SO I booked a private ceremony on 23.11.2017 using reference letter I used to check my online status with the addition of Zero at the start.
Hope this will help other members who are waiting for the letter. I will update after ceremony attendance

I booked with Leeds city Council

My application was approved on 07/11 and because I haven't received the invitation so far, this morning I have contacted Edinburgh City Council and they have confirmed that my certificate has not been received. They have told me that they receive a batch of certificates every Tuesday afternoon and that I can call on Wednesday to check again.

So basically no news after two weeks of the approval.

I am also waiting for the letter after my online status was updated on 15th Nov.

I applied through Leeds NCS so I may try what you suggested if the letter hasn't come through by the end of the week.
