Cutting BRP into four pices.

Hi, i might sound stupid but i am little confused. I am recieving my citizenship on 19th december and i am obliged to send back my BRP card within 5 working days of the ceremony. It says on website that i have to cut BRP into four pieces. Now whats the format of cutting into 4 pices. Is it like just cut it from middle making a cross or what? Cant get it. If anyone can help me? Much appericiated.

There is no prescribed way to cut it or a right way or wrong way. Simply cut it into 4 and send.
