Architects: accepted professional referees for UK naturalisation?

I note that architects have never been listed in any Home Office or UK gov documents as being accepted as referees for naturalisation.
However, it's a regulated profession requiring qualification within a professional British body.

So, would a qualified architect be an acceptable professional referee for a UK citizenship application?

Has anyone here had any experience with listing an architect as a referee for their application?

If they are qualified and registered with a professional body, yes. One of my architect friends was a referee on several (successful) BC applications.

You should not rely on information obtained on an Internet forum though :)
