return of documents after application was accepted

Good evening,

On 16/12/2017, I received a letter from the Home Office reporting that my Citizenship Application (AN) was accepted and I was invited to book the ceremony. I did this today. This letter was sent on 7/12/2017.

Could someone let me know when my documents (passport, certificates, etc) will be returned to me, please?

It is not clear from the above letter whether my documentation will be shipped to my home address, or sent to my local authority which will give them to me after the ceremony.

Also, are the documents sent back via 2nd class Royal Mail or 1st class Royal Mail signed-for (like for the Permanent Residence application)?

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,
Piero

They will be sent to your home address. If you did not provide a Special Delivery envelope, it will likely be sent second class mail.

Thank you CR001 for your swift reply.

Yes, I did provide a Special Delivery envelope within my application. The same was done when I applied for a permanent residence card, although that time my envelop was completely ignored.

Are the documents and the acceptance letter sent at the same time or will the documents be sent later? Basically, how much time should I wait for them to arrive (about)?

Thank you

Your approval letter is sent separately to your documents.

Just a quick update on this.
My documents were shipped to me using the RM Special Delivery envelop that I included with my application. The issue was that no "missed delivery" card left. Thankfully, I still have the tracking number and managed to reschedule the delivery.

Thank you again for your help.
