british citizenship-online process - URGENT

Hello
I am seeking advice on the online application for Naturalisation. Is the date of application acknowledged by the HO as the date I paid online or when the documents are received in hard copy?
The reason for this question is that I will be one year on ILR on 22/12/2017 but I left the country on 24/12/2017 5 years ago. Therefore I would like to know if I apply online today but post the documents on 22/12/2017 if I will still meet the requirements.
I would appreciate an urgent reply as my time is limited.
ps I did look at the guidance notes but there is nothing there for the online process specifically.
many thanks

The online system is new, only became available a few days ago, so I doubt anyone can answer your question.
Of course you could use the paper form and apply through NCS at the council and apply for citizenship and passport together and get to keep hold of all your original documents,

Just for the benefit of others,
I used the online service on 22 Dec and posted my supporting documents and got thru within 3 weeks. This seems much faster than the checking service with no added fee. I got my biometric letter as soon as I paid online printed it and registered my bio the next working day. I am now awaiting my invitation to ceremony from my local council which should come in the next 3 weeks.
My application was based on the 10 year long stay residence.
Best wishes to others awaiting their results.

Please I have a question: what should I put in the following question in online application:
Immigration details
Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?
Yes/No
I got my ILR on LR basis and will apply this week only stuck in the above question.
Thank you so much

Obviously it is Yes as any application to HO abroad or within the UK for a visa extension or ILR is an application for immigration.

Thank you for you reply. So you mean I have to give details of all applications made (in my case Student visa, Tier 4, PSW, Tier2 and ILR)

I don't have access to the online application so cannot answer your questions.
You need to state 'Yes' presumably, but I don't know what the online form asks next.

They are not trick questions. You do realise you cannot apply using NCS or the joint citizenship and passport application scheme at the council if you use the online form.

Hi
I answered yes and completed all applications made both in and out of country which lead up to my 10 year stay. I did not put tier 4 ext however as that was an extension of the same visa.
