i was dependent of a Tier 1 General since 2012 and granted ILR from Sep 2017. My husband became british citizen on Jan 2017 through naturalisation(5 years Tier 1 General + 1 Year ILR). I wanted to confirm that my understanding is correct. i am now eligible for British citizen even before 1 year completion in ILR period as my husband is British citizen. can some gurus confirm this.
I do not have long absence from UK. not more than 15 days in 1 year.

also i would like to know if i will have to submit my passport if i go via NCS. i plan to travel to India in May 2018 and it will affect if have to submit until the decesion is made.

You could have applied as soon as your husband became British, there was no reason to wait.

NCS gives you the originals back. You will be free to travel you just need to make sure you don't miss any letters from HO.

As soon as you have been given ILR you can apply as spouse of a British citizen, no need to wait for a year, if you fulfil all the requirements for the BC application.
