I am writing in hopes of guidance and help, I have a trip booked to Amsterdam from the 12th of February until the 15th as a birthday present all the way back from November. However, my British Citizenship ceremony is on the 6th of February and I am aware that this does not mean I automatically get a British passport therefore please could you offer me guidance as to how I am able to go on the trip as there are no changes or any form of refund available from the booking. I am currently on a Philippines passport therefore do I just apply for a Schengen visa even though I would have already attended a British Citizenship ceremony? Any forms of guidance or suggestion would be useful as I really do not want to let down my friends especially with the amount of money they spent. Thanks

You also have to return your ILR BRP card within 5 days of attending the ceremony, which means you won't have proof of right to reside.

I suggest you reschedule your ceremony till after your trip and apply for a Schengen visa.
