Hi,

I've managed to become a British citizen and I can finally take steps to change my name via deed poll. I've done the research what steps do I have to take to do that:

1) Enroll deed poll to the courts
2) Apply for a name change in Polish consulate (they require the document above, self-made DP are not acceptable)
3) Apply for a new Polish passport
4) Apply for a British passport

As you can see, it is a bit tricky, however I've got the problem with the first one.
How can I enroll deed poll to the courts? Does it have be through solicitor? If so, that will cost A LOT.

Do you suggest any other ways how to get name changed in that particular case?

You should be able to go to a solicitors amd get an oath fee for about £5

So get your deed poll and tale it there (i think you might need to sign it first but im not 100% sure)

Hope this helps
