Hi All,

My citizenship application has been approved on 18th of January, it is was a JCAP application. I have also received a letter from local council for oath ceremony on 23rd of February 2018. I need to move my residence on 3rd of February, what should I need to do in terms of my address change? I will appreciate your help with below questions,

1. How can I update my address for passport application to get my passport at right address?
2. Do I need to inform my local council before the ceremony?
3. Will they invite me for interview and signature after oath ceremony?
4. How long it will take to get my passport after oath ceremony?

Kind regards,

Aiden

1. How can I update my address for passport application to get my passport at right address? Phone the passport office and advise them of address change.
2. Do I need to inform my local council before the ceremony? No, you can however, try & book a private ceremony to get things move quickly.
3. Will they invite me for interview and signature after oath ceremony? JCAP applicants are normally not interviewed for issuance of passport. Your change of address could or could not trigger a need for interview.
4. How long it will take to get my passport after oath ceremony? It can take up to 20 working days as stated on the letter given to you by NCS staff.

Kind regards,

Aiden

Would it not be easier to do a Royal Mail Redirect instead? And pay for a few months. Or maybe it depends on the company they use to send stuff?
