Illegal entry to UK declartion

I entred Uk on 2004 and live that way till I married my formal wife on march 2007 then applied and reseived my Resident card on September 2007,due to good character i waited till October 2017 to apply for BC which still pending,but on my BC application I didn't mention that i entred illegally thinking the HO already know about it,now I worry that the HO will refuse my BC application on base of deception (hide my illegally entre to UK)
What the best to do now
                   
-Contact Ho and tell them about my illegally entre to UK or no need to do so?
-And if i have to contact them which the best way email or post
