I have quick question, that do I need to send my Pakistani passport with UK citizenship/naturalization application?

if Yes. Then I got one more question, that my Pakistani passport has been expired. Do I need to renew my Pakistani passport or can I send the expired one?

No need to renew, but you will have to submit evidence of residence from the date it expired.

Are you asking for yourself or someone else?? You posted in 2016 that you were applying for citizenship

it's not my case. I'm British national already. Thanks for your help during my application. It's my friend's case actually.

His Pakistani passport has been expired and he is about to apply for the UK citizenship/naturalization. He asked the same question to one immigration-lawyer, and lawyer said that you need to renew your Pakistani passport. He is living in UK on ILR for last couple of years.

So according to your advise, the information he got from the Lawyer is "wrong". Actually he is worried that he does not want the refusal because of his expired-passport, as yon know the fee is £1000+ for this application.

Could you please give any Ref that we can use the expired-passport and don't need to renew it for the Naturalization application?

Then state if you are asking for someone else or ask them to register on the forum and post their own questions.

Please don't use the words "I" nor "my" when asking for someone else.

I did not know that I can't use "I" or "my", as I just tried to make the question simple. And trying to get the information for him.

So can I ask that the information you gave me for this type of case, can I ask for any Ref? Or do I need to ask him to make a new account and ask the same question again for further conversation?

If he applies for citizenship with an expired passport, HO will likely write to him and ask for evidence that he has been resident in the UK since the passport expired.

To avoid delays, he should send evidence with his application.

Include expired passport.
