Dear all,
I am currenty on ILR in the UK, my divorce is in the process of finalising with the current wife in the UK. I got married in Pakistan in 2015, I have a child with her. I am aware of the fact that, until my divorce here isn't finalised, I can't bring my wife over from back home. But I would like to atleast apply for British Passport for my son(currently in Pakistan). How can I do this? What is the procedure? Your help is much appreciated.

Your son cannot apply for a British passport as if born abroad he is not a British Citizen.

Why do you believe he qualifies for a British Passport??

I found out by one of my friend. He has told me that I can apply for my son British passport. I just have to give my DNA and get his DNA done in Pakistan ? Is it so? I had no clue so I thought to confirm it here.

Your 'friend' is wrong.

A child born abroad to a person holding ILR has no special privileges or treatment or entitlement to British Citizenship.

A child born abroad to a person holding ILR is not a British citizen. This would ONLY be true if the child was born in the UK after the parent got ILR.

Even if born in the UK before you get ILR, they are still not automatically British, but have to register to be British, which costs almost £1000. But this doesn't seem to apply to your circumstances either.
