Please help! I hold a EEA Permanent Residence Card granted in 2014. I am a former EEA national family member. I applied for my naturalisation in February this year and received a letter today asking to provide a proof of Qualification in English by 23 March

I am very confused as I have passed and provided my Life in the UK test certificate, can anyone advise if I also must have a qualification in English on top of it? Thank you.

Life in the UK test cert and proof of qualification in English are 2 separate requirements for Naturalization. They are not the same. Im not sure how quickly you can arrange to have a test qualification from one of the approved test centres but if you are from a recognised English speaking country or you have a degree or masters from a UK university, you can meet the requirement bf the deadline

Bear in mind that a degree awarded outside of the UK now requires a NARIC ELA (Red Route). This is around the same cost as the B1 English test.
