I am an 18 year old born and living in the US with married parents and a father who was born to a british mother and american father at RAF Lakenheath, on his birth certificate(UK) it states USAF Hospital, RAF Lakenheath. I recently spoke on the phone with the UK Passport Office where I was told that I am a UK citizen but at the same time I am confused about what I do, they told me all I need is a passport. Can my application get declined?

As your father was born in the UK to a British parent, he’s automatically British otherwise than by descent. This makes you automatically British by descent.

Apply for a British passport.
