Hi,
Need some advice on my current situation. I m applying for my son's British citizenship in a few days time. However his Pakistani passport is expiring on August this year. I will be submitting all his documents including his BRP and Pakistani passports with his MN1 application form. Just wanted to know if he is allowed to renew his Pakistani passport after the original documents have been returned from the home office. Will there be a problem as he will then have a new passport that the home office has no record of? Or do i need to update the home office of the new passport that has been made and possibly may need to send it for records? I know it was a bit careless of me to notice the expiry date this late. Thought it to be next year. Lesson learnt.
Also any ideas on how long it will take for him to get his citizenship and passport?
Your help is much appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for your response. Needed a green flag:) Also called home office today and the advisor said it should be fine and if they needed anything extra , they would write to let us know. Hopefuly they dont require it as it will just make the application process longer:)
