Hi All,

Hope Everyone is enjoying good health.

I have a question related to Dependants status on ILR application.

I am applying ILR on the basis of 10 Years. I have Two dependent (Wife & Daughter). both have valid visa until next year (Tier 1 Extension dependent) .

Question is, My daughter, she was born in the UK and then left UK for 1 year when i got my Tier 1 extension, i applied dependent visa for both and then they came back to UK.

so need to ask, will i be apply for dependent visa of my daughter or i can apply for naturalisation after i got ILR.

She was born here but left the UK at the time of my first visa expiration and came back when i got my extension.

Thanks in advance

Children are Registered not naturalised.

As you hold ILR, you can register her as British on form MN1.

Absence is irrelevant.

Thanks mate for quick response.

Absence is irrelevant because she was born in the UK. right ?

because some one told me that as i applied for their fresh dependent visa and that time they were out of the UK. so they will be dealt as a fresh applicant, Born here wont count. so on that basis he said, children will be going for 5-year dependent visa as well as my wife.

Thanks

Stop listening to 'someone'.

UK born children have an entitlement to register as British once EITHER parent is granted ILR.
