Hi ,

I want to know is there any approval time difference between online + NDRS OR NCS applications and Just applications without any NDRS/NCS services ?

I observed , Guys who applied in April 2018 have started to get approval letters , i submitted online application on 29th March and sent documents on 7th April. but till now no news.

Anyone found difference in both with and without NDRS/NCS?

There is only one standard application whichever channel you use. Every application is different, some are faster than others. We still see some approvals coming through from last year and there are still people waiting for over a year.

Seems to be similar with me...

I have sent my postal application off to the HO on April 25 without using the NCS. I know they have received it the following day as I have confirmation. Since then, nothing happened. It seems like they have not opened my letter as no monies have been taken (I assume they would take the money before they do anything with the application). Does that seem normal (it seems like many other people get processed my quicker)??

Worried that they have lost my letter with all my original documents.... hmmmmm...

IMO, Home office guys trust /assume documents through NDRS / NCS are already verified and application already checked by those services so they do fast decision as compare to direct post.

If that's the case then not good.

Same boat here. Sent application by post in April as couldn't get an appointment with the NDRS (tried 3 different councils, they were all swamped, and as I work Monday-Friday it is difficult for me to make phone calls during the day).
Still no acknowledgement & monies not taken and I will probably need to move house before the summer. Just yesterday I was talking to an elderly British chap (potential employer) who couldn't understand why it was so stressful for me and why I felt the need to apply for citizenship.

The home office seems to be quite busy at the moment. My husband applied on 10 April, with NDRS on 16 April. The passport fee was taken more than a month later, on 18 May. If you check timelines from earlier this year, they always took the passport fee within 1-2 weeks.

So it's not just standard applications - the NDRS applications also seem to wait in queue for a while before getting processed at the moment.

Please check time lines of broad for March 2018 and April 2018

It seems paper applications are processed quicker than Online of last two months timelines. need to tolerate delays as usual.

OK, but not everybody who applied using NDRS or NCS has gotten their approvals yet.

And NDRS applications at the moment are also slower than they used to be a couple of months ago. It usually takes a month or more now to deduct passport fees, whereas a few months ago the passport fees were deducted after 1-2 weeks.

Fingers Crossed , I have not applied for passport so can't track through bank account as well :|

Hi

I believe right now online application using NDRS + JCAP is taking bit longer, but we cant assume everything as every case is different and i believe it depends on individual cases.

Thanks

I applied on 11 March and my passport fees were deducted on 9 April. Havn’t heard back yet and The timelines are making me worried as many applications made in late March and April have been approved.

My wife applied online on the 29th March 2018 and the documents were received by UKVI Liverpool on the 3rd April 2018. We didn't use NDRS/NCS. The approval letter arrived on the 15th June 2018, dated the 12th June 2018. The ceremony invitation hasn't arrived yet though.

Cong on approval.

now i can say, I found no difference apart from JCAP service and you have to get apply passport after approval and will have to go through process again e.g. photos (fresh photos, don't use same photo used in BC app) and verification of those...

JCAP guys may have an advantage of tracking their BC app by keeping an eye on bank account if passport
fee deducted means BC application approved. for online user no tracking option...

regarding ceremony ,
chase local council registrar some times they say certificates for you are with them (you can choose private ceremony if in hurry), usually ceremony dates in town councils now have big gaps ,because number of applicants for BC significantly reduced.

I applied NDCS+JCAP on April 9. I have had two requests for more documents from my case worker and my passport fees have not been deducted.

I am worried! Thought my application would be very straight forward.

what kind of documents? if case worker asked something . it means they are willing to accept your application and that's why they need more info.

Passport fee get deducted once citizenship granted at home office level

Interesting. How do you mean that they are willing to accept your application?

They asked for a recent P60 or payslip to show continued employment in the UK, and then they asked for my tax UTR.

It is total on Case worker discretion whether to ask for more documents or refused the application. and then after refusal if you apply for reconsideration it cost around £300 and there is no time limit.

Thanks

Sounds more like they were "unwilling" to accept my application then rather than "willing" without more information. Sounds like an obvious point but it colours the request somewhat differently.

I still find it very strange that I was asked to submit a P60 or payslip to confirm continuing employment when my original application had a letter from my current employer in the first place stating how long I have been employed. Even though the letter wasn't required I included it because I have a complicated travel history (I travel A LOT for work -- I am within the UK presence requirements, but it is extremely difficult to glean my travel history from my passports).

Anyways, nothing I can do now but wait.
