Hi,
I and my son recently got our ILR status after completing 5 years of stay in the UK. My husband and younger son hold British Passports. My query is, Can I apply for my son’s citizenship right away or do we have to wait for 1 year on ILR before he qualifies for his British citizenship. He was born outside of the UK and was a dependant on me while I held a Spouse dependant VISA.

How did they qualify for ILR before August 2018?? Your previous posts stated they entered the UK in September 2013??

Thanks for the reply. Me and my son are due to apply for an ILR by the end of August. I didn’t want to beat around the bush again with the whole story, so said we have got the ILR. My main query is if we can apply for his citizenship as soon as we have got an ILR depending on his father’s and brother’s citizenship? I ll retain my original nationality with an ILR in the UK. Just need citizenship for my older son.
