Dear members and mentors,
I got my ILR through long residency in 2017, It is more than a year now. My daughter is born recently( in UK), I want to apply for her passport. Not sure if I need to apply for naturalisation first and then apply for passport or can I apply for passport directly.
Any information will be appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Regards

Passport directly if born in the UK after you got ILR.

Either collect a passport form at the post office and complete or apply online, link below. You will need to submit evidence of your identity and ILR status.

Remember to retain the proof of your ILR (your BRP) for the rest of your daughter's life. That is the basis of her citizenship and it may be required at some time in the future.

Hello secret simon,
Thank you for the advise. I am also in the process of naturalisation for my self. Once that is done i need to send my brp card back. So u mean I need to keep a photocopy of my brp card?
Could you pls suggest where else I may need it for my daughter.
Many Thanks

Keep a certified copy of your BRP card as proof of your ILR. It is your ILR status that your daughter's citizenship is dependent on.

Thank you,
I just started to fill online application form. It is asking for maternal and paternal grand parents details. I filled in as much as I know, the rest I left blank?.
It is also asking for my and my wife's details which I filled. But neither of us has British passport. I have ILR but it is not asking my status? taking to the payment page.
Also will a separate blank page will get printed at the end of application for conter sign? Can any one with professional job and British passport can sign it?
Many Thanks in advance
kind regards,

Fill in all the details for grand parents and parents and wife as far as you can, where not known say so. Also your own details which should be complete. You don't have a British passport yet so can't quote it's number.
For the rest of your queries I leave it to others to comment.
