Hi All,

Awaiting ceremony for citizenship. Indian Passport Holder + BRP ILR
Once Naturalised BRP needs to be returned.
Since plans to travle to India and will apply for British passport when back in 2 weeks.

Question: Since BRP will be returned to HO, can we travel to India and return to UK with entry granted with Naturalisation Paper

The certificate is not a travel document.

Retain your ILR BRP until you return.

The airline is highly unlikely to allow you to board....meaning you won't even reach UK Border Control

If i retain BRP/ILR, wont i be fined 1000GBP as it says on the invitation letter.

The alternative is not being allowed into the UK.

So far, we haven't heard on these forums of anybody actually being fined on the basis of not returning the ILR BRP.
