Return of BRP within 5 days of ceremony

Dear Members and Mentors,

I recently received letter of invitation to attend citizenship ceremony which I attended few days ago. After ceremony I am supposed to send my BRP card within 5 days. But just before receiving ceremony letter I have already applied passport for my child and sent my passport and BRP card with that application.
What would be the best action to do now as BRP card is not with me?

Thank you in advance for your valuable suggestions.

Kind Regards

Wait till you get it back and then send it to HO.

Make sure you keep a certified copy.

Notify them that your ILR BRP actually confers British citizenship for your UK born child and your child requires it for child's lifetime.

Note that a British passport does not confer British citizenship.

That BRP may of course be needed for subsequent generations as well.

Oh, yes. Future generations may also be affected. It’s ridiculous to destroy citizenship conferring documents, when records may also be routinely deleted. Especially in an ill conceived hostile environment.

Would the ILR sticker in an expired passport be enough to prove that parent was settled at the time of birth of the child when it comes to passport renewals?
If that's the case I could return my BRP.

Yes.
