Naturalisation 1 year Residency Requirement after PR

I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this ambiguous matter. When I received my PR in March 2018, I got a letter with it saying that I became permanent residence in September 2017 after exercising treaty rights for 5 years.Just for your information, I came to UK in September 2012. For naturalisation one must have the permanent residence for a year in order to apply for naturalisation so in total 5 years + 1 year with PR. My question is whether I can apply for naturalisation in September 2018 or do I have to wait until March 2019, which is the date when my PR was issued. The naturalisation cost hell lot of money and I do not want to jump in to it when I am not certain. Even though HO has issued me a letter stating that I acquired permanent status in September 2017, I still do not trust HO as I have seen few similar cases on this forum where HO refused applications. Please advise how to deal with this situation so I can make sure HO do not refuse my application.

Ha even this forum has my immigration history if you see my earlier posts. Started with EEA family permit then residence card and later on permanent residence. I am just sceptical. Anyways, this forum has been really helpful. Thank you for your input.
