EC Application - 2 word Surname

Applying for BC and Passport (online + NDRS + JCAP) based on marriage to me BC.
The applicant - my wife has Latin American / Iberian style name + surname. Her passport and ID Card show
Her name as AAA
Surname BBB CCC - where BBB is family / fathers surname and CCC is mothers surname.
I have read through the many issues that people have faced about Maiden / Married name and her documents in the above formats.
If we decide to go for the easier option of applying for BC + Passport in her maiden Latin style name - is UK system able to handle the SURNAME as two separate words - i.e. no hyphen nor joined up together - two actual separate words BBB CCC with a space in between in the surname field ? (cannot find any reference to whether a two word surname is allowed).
Once she has the passport she could always show the married certificate when required in UK as she uses the married name for day to day matters. We can face up to change of name at a later date.
