2/ Is there a premium service (at a fee) to get decision quicker?

3/ What all documents do I need to provide?
  • Current Passport
  • BRP showing Indefinite Leave to Remain
  • Knowledge of Life in UK Pass letter used for ILR Application
  • Knowledge of English Language used for ILR Application
  • Details of absences from UK, similar template as used for ILR Application
  • Letter from my employer confirming my employment and salary, similar template as used for ILR Application
  • Application Fee
  • Anything else?
Thank-You for your help and assistance in this matter.

1. Yes correct form.

2. No there is no premium service for citizenship. You have the options if postal or using NDRS at the council. Postal you must send your original documents. NDRS copy your docs and give originals back. If you use NDRS you can also apply for the passport on the paper form at the same time.

3. You only need to list your absences l. No evidence needed other than your passport(s). Proof of employment not required. Even if you are unemployed you can still apply. Employment is not mandatory for citizenship.

Immigration Application Details

Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Do I have to give details of all previous applications such as:
- ILR
- Tier-2 Visa Renewal
- Tier-2 Visa Application
- UK Tourist Visa Application

The form does not ask what type of Visa Application it was,
- Date of application,
- Date of fingerprint,
- Country of application

Is there any specific number of years that we have to go back?

Thanks for quick response to my questions.

If I use online service to fill the form, can I chose the option to send originals to Home Office instead of using NDRS?

If I send originals to Home Office, do I get them back after few weeks or only at the time of decision (which can take upto 6 months)

Yes, you can apply by post on your own.

You only get your originals back once a decision is made. It can take a couple of months for a decision or it could take many months sometimes a year or more as some members have experienced.
