EEA PR for EU child born in UK

HI there,
when does my EU son gets his PR? He was born in UK and 3 years old now.will he get on same time when my EU wife will complete her 5 years. or he needs to complete his own 5 years?

If your plan is to register the child as a British citizen, the child does not need PR and you can apply to register the child as British once the parent has attains PR.

I thought you only can register child as British citizen once one of the parent already have PR at the time of birth?

You are correct in that.

In relation to your question , a child will only qualify for PR at the age of 5, unless regulation 15(1)(d) applies.

NCS - Nationality Checking Service at the council - complete paper form and submit, they copy your original documents.

NDRS - Nationality Document Return Service at council - complete online form, they copy your original documents too. You can also apply for passport at the same time on the paper passport form if you use NDRS.

There is no 'general thread' for MN1.
