Registering child with MN1 from abroad

Hello, I have a quick question regarding the MN1 form.

The background:
- I am a British citizen by decent.
- I lived in the UK for 5 years from 2000-2005
- In 2006 I moved to Germany and still live here
- My daughter was recently born in Germany
- I would like to register my daughter for british citizenship, using MN1 from, section 3(2)

The issue:
- We live in Germany. The form asks for my daughter's (the applicants) address, and my address. As we live in Germany we do not have a postcode.

The questions:
Option 1: Should we fill in the form with a German address? (without a valid UK postcode)?
Option 2: Should we use my parents (my daughter's grandparents) UK address? (We do not currently live there).

Many thanks for the help!

Doesn’t Germany have Postcodes?

If you are thinking of moving to the UK prior to Brexit, then it may be better to register her under Section 3(5) after she resides at least three years in the UK.

Thanks for the reply.
In Germany there are 5 digit "Postcodes", but it would not fit in the format of the form.

My question is I guess a more general one - can I apply using the MN1 form from abroad, or do I have to be living in the UK to complete the form? Or is there a requirement to give a UK address?

Thanks for the 3(5) comment - there are a number of reasons that 3(2) is more suitable in this case (related to Germany not UK).
