Good character requirement: is it worth waiting for subject access request?

Hi all,

I have a question on good character requirement form:
Throughout my stay in the UK I haven't had any brushes with the law except for one occasion where I got told off by a police officer for careless riding (motorcycle). I didn't get any points on my license (checked several times over the years) and I haven't received any correspondence to indicate that it had been registered as an offence.
I scheduled an appointment for document return service but then it occurred to me that maybe it went on some record. I've filed a subject access request with ACRO but they can take a month to respond.
So I wanted to get your opinion, is it worth:
a. rescheduling the application appointment until I get the report
b. submitting the application and going ahead with the appointment while mentioning the incident and explaining it as I know it
c. Just submitting the application without mentioning the incident as I don't have any evidence that it has actually been registered

Any advice on which option to go with? (or any other suggestions?)

Thanks and regards,

Fedus

Hi Vinny,

Thanks, I didn't notice the link earlier!
So from your other post- it is always better to disclose everything.

It happened late 2014/early 2015 - can't remember exactly and I don't have any evidence to point at the date...

A simple caution over three years ago shouldn’t adversely affect the Good Character requirements. However, if there’s a record of it, then not disclosing it may result in a ten year ban for citizenship, due to deception.
